Excellent experience. They close at 9 and we got there at 8 on a Monday night. Server still did their best. Food came fast and fresh. Server was super nice to help us change plates between courses and when we kept asking for bread as it was so good. Pasta was fresh. Tiramisu was yum and cannoli shell was crunch. Would definitely go back.
We went to celebrate a birthday, and everything tasted quite good! I personally loved their Bistecca Quattro Formaggio and the Tortellini con Prosciutto. The appetizers were pretty amazing too. The Calamari Fritti with lemon, sweet basil syrup, and spicy tomato sauce were delicious and well-portioned. The Burrata con Prosciutto, with fresh burrata cheese, prosciutto, sun-dried tomato pesto, and crostini, was a delightful start to the meal. Of all the pastas we tried, the Fettuccine al Pescatore was just ok compared to the others, so I'd skip this one. However, the Tortellini con Prosciutto, cheese-filled tortellini with mushrooms, prosciutto, spinach, and cream sauce was absolutely fantastic! The Bistecca Quattro Formaggio was another standout, with a rich, creamy flavor that was simply irresistible.
This is our family's go-to spot for a nice dinner out or a celebration. We came here for my dad's birthday because he loves Italian food, and this place never disappoints. The food is always delicious, fresh, and high quality. The interior has a warm, cozy vibe with dim lighting, and you can see and hear the kitchen, which adds to the experience. They offer booth and table seating, along with outdoor options. It's a bit small inside, so it doesn't usually feel crowded or busy, at least from my experience. I had the seafood pasta, and it was fantastic--the portions are generous, and I couldn't finish it on my own! I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great Italian food in Morgan Hill.
Stoped by for lunch after doing some shopping with a friend. This was our first time here. We had a really lovely lunch. I tried the soup if the day, which was clam chowder. It was delicious. I ordered the pork tenderloin over penne pasta with arugula salad on the top. It was amazing. My friend tried the fettuccine with chicken and sundried tomatoes. She loved it. We were also brought warm bread with garlic infused olive oil that was really tasty. Service was excellent and there is seating inside as well as outside. The inside is nice and cozy with a warm atmosphere. I would definitely come back to try some items from their dinner menu.
Excellent excellent pastas and lasagnas. Tasted very authentic and well prepared. I initially thought I would get cheesed out but ended up finishing everything and even licked the plate clean...the staffs were very tentative and friendly. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant is located on a side street with plenty of parking. We arrived for lunch when they first opened and heard the kitchen staff talking smack about each other's families in Spanish. Not sure if they knew people were in the restaurant or assumed we couldn't understand what they were saying. After ordering, we received warm bread with a side of roasted garlic in olive oil which was delicious. Our entrees came out at a reasonable time and everything tasted fresh. The salmon was grilled and cooked perfectly. The pasta was also tasty and hit the spot. Service was nothing special but the food was outstanding.
Hubby and I were craving some Italian food and we decided to check out Maurizio's based on the great Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint. This is a small little place but very intimate and service was super friendly and superb. My husband had the carpaccio which was so delicious and tender. I had the Cannelloni de Carne and wow! It was absolutely amazing, the sauce was delicious, rich and creamy and the pasta tasted homemade. It seemed to be a popular dish as I saw several people also ordering it as well. Highly recommend if you are looking for an excellent Italian restaurant !
Wedding Rehearsal dinner is a must at Mauricio's. They were SO accommodating. With a larger party (21 people), we were able to order family style. We ordered: Calamari: 5/5 - everyone still talks about how amazing it tasted. Not super chewy. They loved it! Caesar salad: 5/5 - we still love this salad. So tasty! Pesto mushroom pasta: 4/5 perfect for vegetarians. I think I prefer the linguini more than the penne pasta. They asked to switch it to penne because it's easier to scoop with big groups. Rigatoni: 4/5 I prefer lots of cheese. We ordered this because it had less cheese for our lactose wedding party people. Steak and veggies: 5/5 I was pretty full when eating this, but it was very tender and flavorful. Mini Cannolis: 5/5 so tasty and not too sweet! Wine recommendations were on point too. Loved both the red and white wines! Service was the best. We asked if we could come 30 minutes earlier and they said it was perfectly fine! They were extremely helpful and friendly. My husband and I will have to come again when we're in Morgan Hill.
Needed a convenient location to meet up with friends from Fremont, Sunnyvale, Hollister, and Orinda; and decided to go to Maurizio's in Morgen Hill. It turned out to be an excellent choice. It's a nicely decorated and cozy little restaurant with outside seating available. It's a clean and comfortable environment. Service was good and very friendly. We were never rushed even though we stayed for a long time to catch up. Food came out at a nice pace. I had one of their specials which was grouper. My friends had fettuccine with chicken, a side salad, meatball sandwich with fries, and eggplant Parmesan. My grouper and vegetables were delicious, very fresh and tasty. My friends also liked their choices. The portions were really generous, the meatball sandwich and fettuccine were enough for two meals. Prices were very reasonable especially when portions and quality were considered. I will be back if I am in the area. Highly recommended!
